Oak Island is a gorgeous, and dare I say underrated, beach near Wilmington, North Carolina. A short 45 minute drive from our city and you find yourself on a beach that is like, HALF as populated as Wrightsville Beach, which just so happens to make the perfect location to host a wedding. Bre and Dolph have had a deeeeeep love for the beach and for Oak Island for a long long time, Bre’s parents talked a lot about her love for the beach since childhood (same, girl) so I can’t think of a better place to hold their big day. They picked the most GORGEOUS beach house all the way at the end of the island, and it felt like they had rented this whole part of the beach for just us, it was perfect. An ocean-front ceremony, followed by dinner on the pool deck of the beach house, followed by dancing and what we can only call a rave happened upstairs on the rooftop level of the house. Surrounded by the sunset and ocean views, they danced the night away, and it was genuinely such a great day. Imagine feather boas, confetti poppers, and DJ lights. I am repeatedly astounded by the types of humans that I get to work with, and Bre and Dolph were no exception. They were so fun and easy to be around, and they were seriously just so beyond thrilled to get to marry each other, you could just tell by the way he looked at her. It made me get SAPPY. Their love was such a joy to capture, and they are literal couple goals. Okayyyyyy I’ll stop rambling about how obsessed I am with them now and just show you the photos :)
