Amanda and Christopher got married on a bright and sunny and GORGEOUS afternoon in June. They had their ceremony at Amanda’s family’s church, which was super sweet and sentimental to them. Then we moved over to the beautiful Bakery 105 in downtown Wilmington, North Carolina for the reception. Bakery is one of my TOP THREE favorite wedding venues in Wilmington. I love the building, the exposed brick, the ivy climbing up the walls on the patio, the outdoor space, the proximity to the riverwalk for sunset portraits, the staff, the food… I could keep going. Any wedding I get to work here is always a good one. Amanda and Christopher were no exception. I think what stands out to me the most from their wedding (aside from the heat that was absolutely attacking us while we wandered around for their portraits) is their dance party at the end of the night. As vendors we always like to guess if it’ll be a packed dance floor or if it’ll be a more chill day. Amanda and Christopher are so calm and collected I was sure it would be a nice, quiet, calm evening. But then the dance floor opens up and OMG. My face literally hurt from laughing so hard at these people dancing, stomping, doing choreography, doing the splits, having competitions doing the worm. I mean, it was non stop. It was SO funny and so enjoyable to watch. And of course, my other favorite, they chose to add on the 35mm film package to their wedding day and I got to do my favorite thing: shoot film photos! So, scroll all the way to the end to see those ones!!! Here are the highlights from their big day!
