Airlie Gardens & Ironclad Brewery Wedding Photographers | Kaitlyn & Nick

Getting to photograph Kaitlyn & Nick’s wedding was already a highlight for my 2026 and this was only April! I’ve known Kaitlyn since, I don’t know, maybe 2018? Maybe sooner? We both used to bartend at Ironclad Brewery together and we’ve stayed friends ever since, and getting to come full circle and get to not only be there for her wedding day but also to get to document it for them… it was truly special. They chose Airlie Gardens – always gorgeous – for their wedding ceremony and we had the most beautiful sunny day, and just as the ceremony music began, a storm cloud came out of absolutely nowhere and started dropping the chunkiest rain drops I’ve ever experienced before, to the point where they paused starting the processional and the guests ran for cover under nearby trees – LOL. When I tell you there was 0% chance of storms, I mean it, Mother Nature was playing tricks on us, but it was so funny! Everyone was laughing and it made for some of my favorite moments of the day. It went away so quickly, the ceremony was able to continue in just a few short minutes, Kaitlyn and Nick said “I do” – and then we frolicked all over the gardens together. A specific request for photos was in fact, frolicking in the gardens. And I think we nailed it.

We headed off to Ironclad Brewery for the reception – of course, bringing back years of memories there with Kaitlyn. They toasted, they ate, they laughed, they danced, and we finished off the photo portion of the evening with some sunset photos on the rooftop across the street. I was able to clock out and spend some time on the dance floor with them after I was done, and I’m so glad I did. I loved every little detail of their wedding – but you know what my favorite thing at the reception was? THE DESSERT TABLE. I mean, an entire setup full of different delicious treats all made down the street from local bakery Pie Slayer. Key lime pie (I’m not exaggerating when I tell you it was the best key lime pie I’ve ever eaten), lemon poppyseed, cosmic brownies (which were vegan AND gluten free and I genuinely never would have known), fruit tarts, I mean, it was heaven. Feeling so lucky I got to be part of this day for my friends, and feeling so lucky to have gotten to witness them promise each other forever. I LOVE YOUR LOVE!!!!
