  • Warehouse on Water Wedding Photographer | Ashley & Raevin

Ashley and Raevin got married on a gorgeous fall day at Warehouse on Water in Downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. A stunning day for a STUNNNNNING couple. These two had so much love for not just each other, but for everyone at the wedding, and it was so apparent how much they were loved in return by their people. They had the most fun dance party, the most fun bridal party, they had gorgeous colors, dresses, vibes, ALL OF IT. I’m forever obsessed with both Ashley AND Raevin’s wedding dresses, and just how much fun they are to be around. They make everyone feel welcome, and they even planned a choreographed dance to Thriller!? WHAT!? It was epic. Every single part of it. Grateful for clients like these two who make my job so easy just by being themselves! Congratulations to Ashley and Raevin! I can’t wait to see what’s next for this power couple!

  • Bakery 105 Wedding Photographer | Caitlin & Travis

Caitlin & Travis chose the gorggggggg Bakery 105 for their wedding day in October, and it will forever be one of my favorite venues in Wilmington to photograph. The outdoor patio with it’s classic brick walls covered in ivy is my favorite part of the venue – especially when we get a clear day and we get to NOT have a giant tent covering the whole patio. So when I walked up to Caitlin & Travis’s big day to no tent, you could say I was elated. Their ceremony took place on the patio and the reception was inside, with beautiful floral displays, delicious dinner, drinks, and of course, dancing. Shout out to these two and their hilarious families for throwing such a fun event, and congrats to Caitlin and Travis!!!!

  • River Landing Wedding Photographer | Madison & Joey

River Landing is a beautiful woodsy escape located in Wallace, North Carolina. Just a quick 40 minute drive from Wilmington, this place has multiple venues on site as well as an entire gated neighborhood full of trees, ponds, covered bridges, and even a little sand beach, which is why my favorite spot for weddings here is the River Lodge, where Madison and Joey chose to get married on this GORGEOUS fall day in October. This was one of the first weddings I had this year that really felt like fall weather, and the colors of the trees were slowly starting to change. Their little beach front ceremony was so gorgeous, in that creeeeamy golden hour lighting, followed by a dancing filled reception on the outdoor deck. I am still completely obsessed with the colors of this wedding, everything went together so well, those bridesmaid dresses paired with the woodsy backgrounds and Madisons beautiful smile…. ooooooof. A DREAM. And one of my favorite little details was their guest book: a record sitting on top of a record player that you could sign, and it was their favorite band, Tame Impala (which is an excellent choice if you ask me). I LOVE that. Personal, creative, and so cute! Congrats to these two for tying the knot!!!

  • Brooklyn Arts Center Wedding Photographer | Taylor & Ben

Some weddings just leave you breathless. Some couples are just the kindest, most welcoming people, and their love is so genuine you can actually feel it just from being around them. Taylor and Ben are those kind of people. They had their wedding day on a gorgeous day in October, just as fall was finally starting to set in in costal North Carolina. It was the first sign of fall colors, but still nice and warm outside, and they had chosen one of my favorite venues – the Brooklyn Arts Center to host their big day. I was absolutely blown away by the decor and details that they had planned, and the way it came together was a DREAM. I’ll be thinking about this wedding for a long time. Taylor just made me wish she was my actual best friend all day, and oooooooh the way Ben looked at her. I’m so happy for these two, so happy I got to be there, so happy they trusted me to document this day. Obsessed with their love, and can’t wait to see what comes next for Taylor and Ben.

  • Brooklyn Arts Center Wedding Photographer | Amanda & Mikey

I have many favorite things about photographing weddings. One, getting to work in such beautiful historic venues like the Brooklyn Arts Center in Downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. It was one of the first venues in Wilmington that I worked in once I moved here, and it will remain one of my favorites as long as I live here. Another thing that I love is when my job brings me to weddings of friends of mine! I’ve known Amanda & Mikey for a couple years now, and I was BEYOND thrilled when they asked me to be part of their big day. Being trusted to capture someone’s wedding day is not something I take lightly, and it almost means MORE when friends want to hire you. It’s also like getting a back stage pass to a wedding. You get to be there for the getting ready moments before the day really starts, you get to spend more time with the couple than most people do on the wedding day. You get to see how all their planning came together and how each little detail falls into place. I am grateful for my job and getting to keep doing this each weekend, especially when it’s with amazing humans like Amanda & Mikey. I absolutely LOVED the way they decorated Brooklyn Arts Center, and they had SUCH a fun crowd dancing the entire night away. Now check out some highlights from their big day!!!

  • Grand Barn at the Mohicans Wedding Photography | Jenna & Kevin

Jenna and Kevin said “I do” this month in Glenmont, Ohio. They invited me all the way from North Carolina to photograph their wedding, and I couldn’t have been happier to be a part of their day. I’ve known Kevin for YEARS now, we were college buddies, and I actually didn’t even get the pleasure of meeting Jenna until the wedding day, although it didn’t feel that way at all. These two got married at the Mohicans in the Grand Barn Wedding Center. They decorated the place with soft and natural greenery, with pops of white and gold. Their florist decorated the most gorgeous arch for their ceremony, complete with hanging terrariums with succulents and candles inside. The bridesmaid dresses were a nice soft neutral color which paired so nicely with Jenna’s beautiful dress, and Kevin even sprung for this incredible dark green suit – so cool! They had big Edison bulbs lighting their ceremony and reception outdoors on the patio, which made for some of the dreamiest dancing photos. Honestly some of my very favorite first dance photos EVER. We were also able to wander around the woods and hang out at tree houses, which I absolutely loved. They danced, they laughed, they had their siblings and parents make the most perfect speeches – mostly about Kevin taking his shirt off at family functions. I love getting to come hang out with old friends on such an important day, and I love it even more when I get to see how happy they are. Jenna and Kevin, you two are amazing, and I can’t wait to wish you a happy anniversary for years and years and years to come. Now go look at some of these gorgeous pictures!!!

  • Brooklyn Arts Center Wedding Photography | Jordan & Bo

Sometimes you get lucky and you move to a new state and you don’t know a single person and you end up making friends with your photography clients. Sometimes you REALLY luck out and they turn into some of your best friends. That’s what happened with Jordan and Bo. These two are so fun and lighthearted and just an absolute blast to be around. Their love story is sweet, their relationship is so calm and trusting and comfortable, and I really believe they were meant to find each other in this crazy world.

We spent the day laughing and singing and, okay, maybe sweating a little. Their wedding was held at the Brooklyn Arts Center in downtown Wilmington, in the big beautiful brick building with the tallest ceilings and the most gorgeous architecture. They decorated it and made it their own space, with sweet pops of summer colors. I really love photographing weddings for your close friends, because it doesn’t feel like I’m working at all. I had strict instructions to put my camera away at one point, and I even remember snapping a few after I was done (because I can’t help it and I’m addicted to my camera) and Jordan yelling at me to go get a drink instead. If that doesn’t make you feel right at home, then I don’t know what does! Thank you to both of you for having me capture these memories for years and years to come, I can’t wait to watch you two grow together.

Life is ever changing but I will always
find a constant and comfort in your love
With your heart my soul is bound
And as we dance I know that heaven can be found
