I am not exaggerating when I say this was one of my favorite wedding days ever. I drove all the way to Ohio over night after I photographed a wedding in North Carolina, so that I could be in Columbus, Ohio for Claire & Ben’s wedding. I’ve known these two for so long it’s almost hard to remember a time without them in our lives. Claire has been one of my sisters best friends for what feels like a lifetime now, and that’s given me so many memories with Claire, including getting to travel together to places like Isle of Palms, Charleston, and Nashville! It’s just that much more fun to work a wedding day with a bride who you know so well, and even MORE fun when you know her entire bridal party, including your own sis!

Now to the wedding – Jorgensen Farms is a venue in Columbus that I had never gotten to work in before I moved away, but I am SO glad I did now. The stunning architecture, the beautiful outdoor views, and even though it was incredibly cold and windy (Ohio showed up and did what it does best), the amount of love in that room was enough to keep us warm. They brought their sweet puppy Wesley to walk down the aisle of their ceremony, and we had so much fun trying to get him to pose in pictures with us, too. He stole my glove, but I forgive him. The bridal had me laughing all day long, and my entire family was on the guest list, and I didn’t even feel like I was working, because they made me feel so welcome and just like one of the rest of the guests. Also, every single detail was perfect. I loved the table setups, the twinkle lights, the flowers, their hand-sewn Bangs shoes that they got as a gift from Ben’s brother… literally everything was amazing. Thank you to Ben & Claire for asking me to be there for their big day, thank you to my sister for befriending them and keeping them around for half of our lives, and thank you to Wesley for being the cutest little bridal party member. Ashley and Levi got married in Holden Beach, North Carolina, on her grandmother’s porch, on a shockingly warm and sunny day in November, surrounded by the ones that they love most. A very intimate wedding, followed by the most stunning sunset and a lot of climbing through tall grasses with cacti and sand spurs and risking our safety to capture some of the most STUNNNNNNNING sunset portraits. I literally bled for these photos and it was WORTH IT!!!! So grateful to have met Ashely last year and then move my office into her pottery studio and share a work space, which lead me to being there for her wedding day! Our community of small businesses and local artists is pretty incredible, and I’m always so happy if it brings me to someone like Ashley. She spends a majority of her time doing things for other people and she absolutely deserved a day all about her (even if she HATES THAT!!!!!) hahaha!
