  • Beau Rivage Wedding Photographer | Katie & U’Ryan

Katie and U’Ryan got married last month at the beautiful Beau Rivage Golf Resort in Wilmington, NC. We seriously had the most GORGEOUS fall day, with the sun bright and shining, an outdoor ceremony, followed by a reception inside the resort with the BIGGEST DANCE PARTY we could have imagined. These two are an absolute joy to be around, and photographing their wedding was such a blast. I kept saying how I wish I could clone them and work with them every single weekend. Wedding days should be fun and relaxed and full of time spent with your loved ones, and that’s exactly how this wedding day went. We had an incredible vendor team, and incredible group of humans, and these two got hitched!!! Scroll through a bunch of my favorite images from their day :)

  • Warehouse on Water Wedding Photographer | Kellie & Michael

The fall vibes were BRILLIANT in all of the decor at this stunning wedding! Kellie & Michael got married in October at the beautiful Warehouse on Water in downtown Wilmington. I loved every single detail from the green bridesmaid dresses to the floral centerpieces to the velvet touches and the clear umbrellas. It’s no secret that I have not yet mastered the ability to control the weather, but there is one secret to hiring a professional on your big day – WE MAKE IT WORK! We stopped at Blue Post for a bunch of bridal party photos while it started down pouring – and I have to say those are some of my favorite images!! Looking through these photos, I hope you can hear Kellie’s laugh like I do, and I hope everyone gets to marry someone who makes you laugh like that all day long. Seriously, give Michael a microphone and none of us stand a chance. I’m voting his next career as stand up comic! Anyway. Seriously, best clients ever, best day ever, let’s do it again!?!?!

  • Airlie Gardens Wedding Photographer | Fidan & Thomas

Fidan & Thomas met in college in Scotland, and both were from two completely separate countries. Their love story was so sweet, and Fidan just made the big move to America the week of their wedding! They got married in Thomas’s parents backyard facing the intracoastal, and then we went to Airlie Gardens and Wrightsville Beach to get some beautiful portraits of the two of them. I love being part of wedding days like this one. Congrats Fidan & Thomas! I’m so happy I met you both!! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together!

  • Hampstead Backyard Wedding Photographer | Christel & Spencer

Christel & Spencer got married earlier this month in Spencer’s parents backyard. It’s so funny, when you’re told that the wedding will be at someone’s home, you really never know what to expect. But when I showed up that afternoon and saw the giant white tent filled with chandeliers, glittering gold tablecloths, endless tall candles and neon uplighting, tall trees, and a black and white checkered dance floor, it REALLY blew me away! It was STUNNING! They had an absolutely incredible team of vendors, they had their closest family and friends with them, and they definitely danced the night away. I loooove a wedding like this, beautiful details and a TON of fun. Christel talked about living out her dream fairytale, and it really did come true! I love being part of incredible days like this one. CONGRATS you two!!!!

  • Oak Island Wedding Photographer | Hannah & Andrew

Hannah and Andrew had a very small, intimate, and CHILLLLL beach wedding out at Oak Island last month. It was so much fun, it was so calm and it was really cool watching all of their friends and family come together to help get everything ready for the wedding, I watched them help set up, and I watched everyone pitch in to make their dream day come true! Hannah was so sweet, she was running around all day in total shock and awe that she had just MARRIED the love of her life, and that this was all really happening! They had a low country boil dinner on the beach, followed by plenty of wine and dancing! I’m so lucky to work with clients like these. And I’m SO HAPPY for you both!!! Here are some of the highlights of their wedding day!

  • Ocean Isle Beach Wedding Photographer | Kylie & Abby

I knew I was going to love working with Kylie and Abby the second that I met them when they were visiting Wilmington one weekend, and we met up to discuss wedding details! Their vibe is EXACTLY like mine, and they had such easy going personalities, I was so excited to get to be at their wedding day. And then, genuinely, it exceeded ALL of my expectations. Not only was it just a big casual hang out with a small group of their closest friends and family, but 40 of them were all staying together at a big beach house that night, so it was just one fun party. From getting ready mimosas to a giant dance party all night that even got ME on the dance floor with so many good throw back tunes, I can honestly say it was the BEST DAY EVER. Listening to the speeches from their parents and their friends was so heartwarming I can’t even describe it. These two are not only so loved by the people they surround themselves with, but their love for each other was POWERFUL! I mean, I felt it!!! These are the kind of people that I want to be around all the time, these are the kind of people I want to work with all the time, and this is the kind of love I LOVE to be around. Thank you Kylie and Abby for allowing me to be a part of your magical day, thank you for planning one hell of a party, and thank you for genuinely being yourselves all day long. It made my job SO EASY and I had an absolute blast! Highly recommend having a beach house wedding. It’s a pretty magical thing.

  • Toledo Zoo Wedding Photographer | Kristen & Bill

I don’t often head back to Ohio to do weddings these days, but when it’s for an old friend, of course I do! Living in Wilmington for the last five years, I’ve really limited the amount that I go back to Toledo for weddings, but when Kristen reached out to me, I knew this was one wedding I couldn’t miss. Kristen and Bill planned their September wedding at the Toledo Zoo, which, by the way, is one of the coolest Zoo’s you’ll ever go to in your life. I definitely took it for granted as a kid because we went so often it lost it’s excitement, but now that I’m a “grown up” I am in total awe of this place. They had their ceremony at the Formal Gardens, surrounded by their family and friends, in a gorgeous little private garden. It was absolutely stunning! Their reception was held at the Great Hall, and yes, there was a real live sloth at their cocktail hour. Zoo perks!!!! I’m so grateful I was able to be there on their wedding day, and watch as they had the time of their lives while they said their I-do’s. CONGRATS KRISTEN AND BILL!!!!!

  • Fort Fisher Elopement Photographer | Genna & Gareth

Genna and Gareth flew to the United States to elope in our beautiful beach town of Wilmington, North Carolina. They live in Canada and had to postpone their wedding day because of travel restrictions, but as soon as they opened up the boarders, they hopped on a plane and couldn’t wait to tie the knot officially. We had crazy monsooning type of rainfall that day, and Genna decided to not let that (quite literally) rain on her parade. We risked it anyway, drove out to Fort Fisher in the pouring rain, and as soon as we pulled up, the rain stopped, and let us do our thing! We called it “Gareth luck” – and it absolutely was! I’m so happy to work with couples like these two. Their smiles were so big as they said their vows and put rings on each others fingers. They were practically skipping around Fort Fisher as we did photos after the ceremony. I even got to sign the marriage license as a witness! LOVE their love!

  • Nazareth Hall Wedding Photographer | Miranda & Auggie

I don’t travel back to Ohio very often, but when I do, it’s for totally amazing weddings like this one. Miranda and Auggie got married on a gorgeous July day at Nazareth Hall in Grand Rapids, Ohio. They had an incredible team of vendors (so many of which I used to work with regularly before I moved and it was so much fun to get to work with them again 5 years later!) that made the day come together beautifully. Miranda’s family has been friends with my family for YEARS, so of course I wanted to come back for her big day! It was extra fun for me because I was able to bring my little sister with me for the whole day, and got to sit with my parents at dinner! I can’t say enough good things about this day, I’m so happy for you Miranda and Auggie! Thank you so much for having me be a part of your special day! Here are some highlights from their wedding :)

  • Oak Island Wedding Photographer | Gina & Vincent

Gina and Vincent had an intimate wedding with only their very closest family members and friends in Oak Island, North Carolina. These two are the reason I love my job. People that I don’t even get the chance to meet before their wedding day, and then we meet and it’s like we’ve been friends for years. They were 100% themselves all day, which really translated into the BEST PHOTOS. I love when people open up and just let loose on their big day, instead of being panicked and stressed. They laughed, they joked, they shotgunned a beer. I loved every second. They had a seafood boil for their dinner, they danced, and then they ran into the ocean at the end. WHAT A PERFECT DAY! Thank you guys for having me be a part of your wedding day!
