  • The Parker Mill Asheville Wedding Photographer | Blair & Matt

Since moving to North Carolina, I have consistently dreamed of getting to photograph a wedding in the mountains in Asheville. I absolutely chose to move to NC for the beach, but every chance I get to visit the mountains, it’s pretty magical. And the word magical is probably the only word I could use that will even come close to describing the wedding day of Blair and Matt. I’ve known Matt since pretty early on in my move to NC, he was in my very first friend group that I met here. I remember when he first started bringing Blair around, too, and I was completely impressed by her. What a perfect match, and what a perfect addition to our friend group. She fit in so easily, and was just a joy to be around. So when I found out as they left for a vacation together that Matt was going to propose, I couldn’t have been happier for the two of them! And when they came home and started wedding planning, and asked me to do the photos – not only because they loved my work but they wanted to support their friends and their businesses, I was over the moon! Not only do I get to be part of my friends special day, but I also get to do it in such a stunning and unique place! They chose The Parker Mill as their venue, which is tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Everything went perfectly (except for one little glitch with my rental car that TRIED to prevent me from being there, but of course I wouldn’t allow that, and shout out to all the guys for starting a group text without Matt in it, trying to help me get to Asheville when I was nearly stranded in Tennessee…….. a long story that I will tell you when you’re older but my sister saved the day and got me there) and EVERY SINGLE DETAIL was my favorite. Blair has the best taste, the best style, I was just in awe. But the best part? THEIR LOVE WITH SO INTENSE. I mean, we all felt it. Matt couldn’t wipe the smile off his face. I’m so grateful that I was able to be there, able to document the day, and able to join them as a guest after I was done and dance the night away. So good being reunited with these friends, spending a weekend in Asheville together, and getting these two HITCHED! CONGRATS MATT AND BLAIR! I can’t wait to see what’s next for you two!

  • Ocean Isle Beach Wedding Photographer | Alli & Jesse

Words are hard to describe the incredible, fun, and just purely AMAZING day that was Alli and Jesse’s wedding day in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. I’ve been photographing weddings a long time now, but I will never get over the feeling I get when I leave a day like this one. These two were just OVERJOYED to be near each other, let alone make it official for the rest of their lives. The morning quite literally started out with a waterspout (which to me is just a fancy word for a tornado over the ocean) directly outside the beach house where they would be hosting their wedding just a few hours later, and then ended with the most stunning sunshine day, a beautiful sunset, and the most fun dance party. Not to mention, they even jumped into the pool in their wedding attire at the end of the reception, and then like 90% of their guests followed suit. I left wet, happy, and in awe. What an epic day. What an incredible couple. I’m so lucky to be just one small part of days like this one.

  • Kaminski House Museum Wedding Photographer | Ashley & James

This beautiful day was my first wedding at the Kaminski House Museum in Georgetown, South Carolina. When I tell you this place was the most dreamy southern charm-y waterfront venue, I MEAN IT. The big beautiful white house with a huge front porch, perfect for portraits, all sitting along the water, complete with a fountain and sunset views. I was in love! Ashley and James picked out the perfect spot to host their wedding day. These two were so sweet to work with, and my favorite part? They dressed their dogs up in wedding attire and I couldn’t stop taking photos of them! Every detail went off without a hitch, and of course, Ashley and James GOT HITCHED! HA! See what I did there!? Anyway. Check out some of my favorite images from their wedding day!!!

  • Brooklyn Arts Center Wedding Photographer | Amanda & Mikey

I have many favorite things about photographing weddings. One, getting to work in such beautiful historic venues like the Brooklyn Arts Center in Downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. It was one of the first venues in Wilmington that I worked in once I moved here, and it will remain one of my favorites as long as I live here. Another thing that I love is when my job brings me to weddings of friends of mine! I’ve known Amanda & Mikey for a couple years now, and I was BEYOND thrilled when they asked me to be part of their big day. Being trusted to capture someone’s wedding day is not something I take lightly, and it almost means MORE when friends want to hire you. It’s also like getting a back stage pass to a wedding. You get to be there for the getting ready moments before the day really starts, you get to spend more time with the couple than most people do on the wedding day. You get to see how all their planning came together and how each little detail falls into place. I am grateful for my job and getting to keep doing this each weekend, especially when it’s with amazing humans like Amanda & Mikey. I absolutely LOVED the way they decorated Brooklyn Arts Center, and they had SUCH a fun crowd dancing the entire night away. Now check out some highlights from their big day!!!

  • Ironclad Brewery Wedding Photographer | Jessica & Chris

Ironclad Brewery is the perfect setting in downtown Wilmington for a wedding – and Jessica and Chris planned the PERFECT day. I loved the beautiful greenery they incorporated into their table decor, it really lit up the big warehouse space of Ironclad and paired so well with this old historic building. I was so excited to be part of their wedding day after I initially met Jess & Chris downtown for their engagement photos. I think my absolute favorite part of their day was honestly the dance party at the reception. I always have a blast when I work with Active DJ but this felt like an even BETTER experience, I don’t know why, it was just so much fun, the guests were on their feet dancing all night long, and I couldn’t help but sing along to every single song. Hiring the right DJ really brings your reception together, in the best way! Thankful that I met this wonderful couple and that I got to be there for their big day! Here are some highlights for everyone to enjoy!

  • Bakery 105 Wedding Photographer | Sarah & David

Sarah and David had their wedding at one of my favorite places in downtown Wilmington, Bakery 105! This stunning brick-walled venue is located right on Front St, just a block over from the historic River Walk. My favorite part about this place is their beautiful patio just covered in greenery – the perfect spot for a ceremony and cocktail hour, followed by drinks, dinner, and dancing inside! I didn’t get to meet Sarah and David until their actual wedding day, and I can’t believe how much fun I had with these two. I felt like Sarah and I had been best friends for years – they made me feel so welcome and like I was just one of their guests! The most fun day, the most fun dance party, the most fun humans. Now check out some highlights of their big day!!

  • Airlie Gardens Wedding Photographer | Emily & Michael

What an absolute DREAM of a day. Emily and Michael had their wedding at the STUNNING Airlie Gardens in Wilmington, North Carolina. They hired the most incredibly talented team of vendors, and their combined efforts really brought their wedding vision to life. Every single detail was gorgeous, from her dress to the seating chart to the themed drinks named after their dogs!

Now, I work a lot of weddings. I mean, a lot. I work with a lot of couples. And some of those couples just really leave a lasting impression on me. Emily and Michael are one of those couples. Their love was so LOUD. Like, you could FEEL it being around them. And their family and friends just absolutely surrounded them with it, too. I couldn’t wipe the big goofy smile off my face all day! I’m so grateful for my job for bringing me to people like these two. Okay, I can be sappy and mushy all day long, but let’s get to the important part. THE PHOTOS! Check out the highlights from their big day!

  • Holden Beach Elopement Photographer | Courtney & Jeff

I had SUCH a great time with Courtney, Jeff, and their families as they said their vows in a small, intimate wedding ceremony in Holden Beach, North Carolina. We had the most GORGEOUS evening, and I genuinely appreciated how excited Courtney was when I suggested having the ceremony shortly before sunset, for the most dreamy photos possible. It was perfect. They ate cake, toasted champagne, played on the beach with their kids, and finished the night off with some sparklers on the water! I love being a photographer and getting excuses like this to hang on the beach with a really fun family and catch these moments on camera to remember forever. Thank you both so much for having me!!!

  • Las Vegas Elopement Photographer | Dianna & Joseph

I don’t even know where to begin. A (very hot) June afternoon. In Las Vegas, Nevada. With some amazing friends of mine. Dianna & Joseph GOT MARRIED. They already knew they wouldn’t want to do anything “traditional” when it came to planning a wedding, and they quite literally agreed to elope when they were sharing a hotdog one night at Costco. This is why they are my friends. They were planning a big adventure this summer out West and they decided to throw in a wedding while they were out there, too! A super small group of their closest people hopped on planes (and battled so many cancellations) and headed to Vegas. Not only do I love elopements and non-traditional weddings, but I ALSO happen to love my friends, and when they asked me if I’d join them on the big day, I didn’t hesitate. Give this girl a plane ticket and she will go anywhere you ask. I absolutely LOVED this day. First of all, they chose Vegas Weddings Chapel which was right by our hotel in Old Vegas. It was awesome being a little farther away from the strip, unlike every other time I’ve stayed in Vegas. That didn’t mean our hotel was calm or quiet in any way, shape, or form, but it was still nice. And let’s just talk about the chapel. I was bummed that I wasn’t allowed to take any photos (aside from my phone) because that was the rule at the chapel, but I was IMMEDIATELY distracted from my sadness as soon as Elvis came into the room. THIS GUY. I honestly feel like I was at a performance instead of a wedding ceremony. He nailed it, and we all laughed out loud the entire time, and it was SO FUN. Afterwards we wandered the area, including Fremont Street, this RIDICULOUS dive bar called Hogs & Heifers (which I can only suggest you go there next time you’re in Vegas because it involves bartenders in bras screaming at you to drink more on a megaphone while also dancing on the bar), and ended with an accidental find of the CLASSIEST rooftop bar on top of the hotel Circa. I’m talking 60 floors up, insane city skyline views, and the best craft cocktails (of course I had an Aperol Spritz). If you two could just pick a new place every year and make a trip this much fun, I’ll meet ya there, EVERY TIME. Even if we have to fly back on a red eye and land back in NC at 7am and die for a couple days after. It’s worth it.

  • The River Room Wedding Photographer | Amanda & Chris

Amanda and Chris planned an AMAZING wedding. Though they were one of the unfortunate couples who had to postpone their wedding due to Covid, I think I can speak for everyone when I say that it was WORTH THE WAIT! They got married at the outdoor patio on the riverwalk at The River Room in Downtown Wilmington, NC. The patio sits right on the water and has the BEST views. I absolutely love working at this venue because of the historic brick walls, and the ability to transform the inside into whatever you want. The vendor team that Amanda & Chris chose did a wonderful job helping their travel-themed wedding come to life. As someone who is also obsessed with travel, I really loved what they did with their guestbook! They were postcards that they asked people to sign! How fun! Check out this awesome wedding with this awesome couple!!
