Photographing Krystal and Jeff’s wedding day at River Landing was SO MUCH FUN. Okay, so we did sweat our booties off, but we also have some epic stories to share from this day. We were going along as planned, I was just finishing up taking getting ready photos with the ladies and was about to be off to meet the guys – when we got a call from the venue. A storm had rolled through and literally ruined their outdoor venue setup. They had to pivot, and move both the ceremony and the reception to a new location. Thankfully they had already coordinated it with the Mad Boar, the restaurant just at the end of the property on River Landing, and it just so happened to be available for us for the day. Krystal had even mentioned that she had first wanted their wedding to be there, so it felt like it was actually a bit full circle that they ended up moving it to the Mad Boar in the end. They truly didn’t even stress – they just said okay let’s pivot, and we even completely rearranged the photos of the day. They weren’t planning to do a first look, but with the new gap in our schedule and no wedding planner to work it out with, I asked if they would be willing to see each other before the ceremony and do all their portraits now while it’s not raining and we have time to spare! They said OKAY and we were able to get all of their portraits done outdoors in the beautiful wilderness of River Landing, while the staff worked hard to set up the new spot. Then we had the ceremony and reception at the Mad Boar, where they danced the night away with their friends and family and my goodness were these people a good time. Their love is silly, goofy, and laugh out loud fun. I’m so grateful for the way things ended up, and how happy they were to just say “I do” and have fun with their people! Proof that a good attitude goes a long way, not just on a wedding day but in life. This shows me how these two handle conflict and they passed the test with an A+.
