Hey! I’m Allison. Welcome to my #fridayintroduct Hey! I’m Allison. Welcome to my #fridayintroductions This month marks my 8 year anniversary of starting Lightbloom Photography. What started as a side gig in Toledo, Ohio has now grown into a full time job & moved to Wilmington, North Carolina & was ultimately the greatest idea I ever had. I think a lot of people work a job just to make a living. Maybe they like it, maybe they don’t. Maybe they just like their paycheck. I’ve spent many years of ups & downs & a lot of confusion & tears & questions & pandemics (okay, just the one) but I can honestly say that every single day has been worth it. I’m one of those lucky ones who genuinely loves what I do for a living. I love my cameras, I love my clients, I love getting to be my own boss. I love all the differences in my daily work. I love your weddings & your kids smiles. Owning a business isn’t always easy (ahem, taxes) but it really is worth it at the end of the day. I’d just like to say thank you. Thank you to my original business partner & amazing friend @embem398 - she started this crazy thing with me & allowed me to grow it the way I wanted to. Thank you to my very first clients, my newest clients, friends that simply share one of my posts on their social media, friends that tell their friends about me, my fellow small business owners who hire me & fellow photographers who refer me, thank you to the brides & the expecting mothers & the families vacationing in Wilmington every year who keep coming back & the grooms who just agree to go along with whatever his bride wants because he just wants to make her happy. Thanks to my family for never doubting my abilities even when I switched my major to fine art and had no idea what to do with that. Thanks to my friends who come with me to photo shoots just to help me out or the ones who agree to be my models when I need them at the last minute.
