WOW. Wow, wow, wow. I was honestly at a loss of words when I walked into Lauren & Kyle’s wedding day. There were a lot more squealing sounds than I’m proud of, if I’m being honest. But can we just talk about what an absolutely GORGEOUS bride Lauren was, and the STUNNING details she put together – all DIY!
Okay, okay, I’m getting ahead of myself. Let me just start by saying, I’ve known Lauren since our first day of Freshman year at Bowling Green State University. She lived right across the hall from my first ever home away from home, and she was amazing. I remember her standing behind me on my computer, looking through the photos that I was taking for fun, and her asking me why this wasn’t what I was doing as a career. She was one of the first people to ever really say that to me, and it definitely stuck with me. Within a few months, I had changed my major to fine art photography, and now I’m running my own photography company and traveling the world. I won’t ever be able to thank you enough for helping start me on my journey, and for supporting me and including me in your wedding day, almost 10 years later! (Ouch, when did that happen?)
Now let’s talk about their big day. Every detail was hand crafted and perfect. Lauren and Kyle have been together since high school, and it really showed. The way that they treated each other was sweet, comfortable, and so much fun. They can laugh with each other, and they definitely did a little bit of crying together, which is secretly one of our favorite things as photographers. Sorry guys, emotion makes for pretty pictures! Their ceremony was outside facing a field of wildflowers in Bucyrus, Ohio. Kyle even built their wooden backdrop and the entryway to the aisle with his dad. They had sangria and lemonade for their guests on this warm June day, and they said their “I do’s” and walked out with the biggest smiles on their faces. They finally did it!
The reception was a giant, fun, silly dance party. They had beautiful twinkle lights hanging that lit the dance party perfectly, and they were surrounded by everyone that they loved. We were able to sneak outside for some sunset photos, which as usual, turn out to be some of my favorite of the entire day. I’m so happy that our paths were able to cross again, and I wish you both the absolute best. Here’s to Mr. and Mrs. Teynor!!!
