I can’t believe these two just welcomed a new BABY into the world! It makes me so happy to watch my couples become parents 😍

Raise your hand if you’ve been waiting for Friday ALL WEEK LONG like myself! 🙋🏼‍♀️ in good news, we’re almost to the weekend and it’s time for another #fridayintroductions !!! So to all my new clients and followers, I like to introduce myself on Fridays! So HELLO!! I’m Allison, and I’m that girl behind the camera. A few fun facts about my business and myself:

- I started Lightbloom back in 2013 in Ohio with one of my long time best friends. After a couple years she decided to focus on graphic design full time and I decided to take Lightbloom and move it to Wilmington with me!
- I had no idea how to run a business, I have an art degree and absolutely no entrepreneurial experience. I can honestly say I figured it all out by the internet, as well as a couple other photographer friends who started their companies at the same time as me (shout out @luckybirdphoto and @luxeverlasting) and we would constantly help each other out.
- My very first wedding was when I was still in college, someone hired me to photograph their wedding where the reception was held at the pool of their run down apartment complex 😂 I charged $100.
- My first real photo job was being an assistant for wedding photographers after graduation, when I believed I’d never be interested in wedding photography. And then I started doing it and fell in love with it!
- Not only are weddings the happiest day of peoples lives, but they’re also so unique. I’ve never had two weddings that are the same. I’ve never been one of those people who enjoys the 9-5 life and sits in an office doing the same thing every day. I like variety and always doing something different.
- My second photography job was doing school pictures for yearbooks. I won’t pretend like that was a fun job but I loved my coworkers.
- I was able to finally start my own business while I was a full time nanny (shout out to my amazing nanny family - I still miss them!). I needed to work full time to pay the bills, while also starting something from scratch. It took about 2 to 3 years to finally become full time, and then I decided to pick it up and move it to North Carolina!
- I’ve never looked back 😍
