This wedding was extra special to me, because Kim, the bride, was actually my very first best friend. I’ve known this girl since we were in preschool, I grew up with her and her amazing family, running around her basement and going to church and a few Cleveland Indians games with them in the summers. Now let me tell you how incredible it was to see everyone again!! Kim and Zack are so loved by their family and friends, it was so clear by the way their parents spoke of them, my personal favorite quote being from the father of the bride, that he was so happy to see a man so deserving of his daughter. All the tears.
Kim and Zack’s wedding day was something out of a fairy tale. Her dress even transformed into a Beauty and the Beast ballgown once they bustled it for dancing! Their venue was insane. They had their ceremony in the Carriage House in Mason, OH followed by a short walk over to their reception at the Manor House on the property. It was absolutely perfect weather and we had the most beautiful sunshine for our portraits. They also chose to do a first look, which is always one of my favorite moments. They are so at ease with each other, it made photos go so smoothly and naturally. The reception had a live band called the Blue Water Kings Band, which I HIGHLY recommend if you’re in the Cincinnati area. So often I’ve seen wedding bands crash and fail to have a fun dance floor, but this was an absolute exception. The decor was rustic with a touch of gold and sparkle. Nothing can go wrong when you add a little sparkle, trust me. The night ended in all their friends and family surrounding them on the dance floor with giant smiles on everyone’s faces.
Okay, I’ll stop gushing. Here are some photo highlights from Kim and Zack’s big day!!
