I recently joined the group of Wilmington Weddings and Events, which is a wonderful organization highlighting some of the best and brightest creatives in Wilmington! It’s already given me some chances to meet some new friendly faces in my community and talk photography and all other kinds of aspects in the wedding business. With Halloween on it’s way, we had a September vendor meeting set up at The Dames Inn on Princess Street. The owner of the Inn, Patricia Peters, gave us a tour of the place and some more exciting details of the famous Dame, who is known to still be lingering around the house. She had the place completely decked out in Halloween attire, including creepy little girls who will follow you around and talk to you about giving you hugs. Not that I was creeped out by that, or anything. 😉 There was an incredible biscuit bar with all kinds of local jam and honey provided by Thyme Savor Catering that we all munched on all night, too. That may have been one of my personal favorite parts.
Anyway, The Dames Inn can be a fun place to include in your wedding celebrations. It can be a great place to have your family stay instead of a hotel, or even the bridal party could get ready for the big day here! If you would like a tour of the house, Patricia will be giving tours on Oct. 21st and 22nd. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info. Take a look at some of the photos from our get together! Maybe you’ll even spot a ghost!
Come see some of us vendors at the upcoming Fall Bridal Mixer at the Terraces on Sir Tyler on October 24th, from 6pm-9pm!
