I think one of my favorite parts about living in Wilmington now is photographing in new places with new clients who turn into friends. I met Hannah when she was a bridesmaid in Mary & Ben’s wedding back in October, and I was so happy when she asked me to take their engagement photos while they were back in town on vacation. We walked around the docks behind Dockside over on the Intracoastal Waterway just before Wrightsville Beach, and mostly we attempted to not fall in the water as the docks swayed while we laughed and snapped photos. Dockside is not only an amazing place to sit in the sun and enjoy a cocktail or craft beer, but it’s also great for the views! So it was the perfect location for us. We even finished up with their puppy, Ruby, who is just turning one year old! Hannah had the amazing idea to do a puppy smash cake, like many people do for their one year old kids. Ruby was so sweet and these photos came a lot easier than you can even imagine. And yes, she loved her sweet potato cake. Happy birthday to Ruby and happy engagement to Hannah and Jacob! So glad I could be a part of your memories :)
